Why we built Copylume: AI copy for every field
A short look at why we built an embeddable AI assistant for copy — and why it’s API-first.
Teams waste a lot of time on copy: hero titles, CTAs, form labels, landing blocks. Either someone writes everything by hand (bottleneck) or it’s generic and off-brand.
We built **Copylume** so you can add AI-powered suggestions exactly where you need them — next to any input field. Define tone, audience, and rules once; get consistent, ready-to-apply copy without leaving your app.
## What we care about
- **API-first** — Same REST (and streaming) API for the React widget, a future script embed, or your own UI. No lock-in. - **Structure over chaos** — Templates (e.g. hero title, CTA) and constraints (min/max words, banned words, style) keep outputs on-brand. - **Plug-and-play later** — React SDK today; we’re adding a small script and support for WordPress, Shopify, and other platforms so you can use Copylume wherever you create content.
If you’re shipping forms, landing pages, or CMS-driven content, Copylume is built to fit into your flow — not replace it.
